The 30th International Youth Tennis Championship of Porto Alegre, promoted by Gerdau and Itaú, had a foreign celebration in its 18 years category. This championship counts points for the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior ranking. The Italian player Gianluigi Quinzi and the Russian Varvara Flink won the championship, considered one of the most important events of youth tennis worldwide. Brazilians won in all the other categories, of 10, 12, 14 and 16 years.Gerdau and Itaú sponsored the International Youth Tennis Championship of Porto Alegre, and support was received from White Martins, GETNET, SAP, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Asics, It’s Mobile, Qualicorp, ProEsporte – Municipal Sports Council of the Municipal Sports, Recreation and Leisure Department of Porto Alegre and Sports Incentive Law of the Sports Ministry, Brazilian Federal Government.
