Siderperu invests in sustainable development

Gerdau is fully committed to the sustainable development of the city of Chimbote in Peru. Over the past few years, Siderperu, Gerdau's company in Peru, has made investments for the continued modernization of systems for protecting the environment. The dust removal system is highly effective in capturing the dust generated during the steel production process.

Siderperu has invested US$ 212 million in the country since 2006, of which US$ 75 million has been invested in projects to protect the environment.
