Gerdau recently announced a $50 million investment to replace the continuous caster at its St. Paul, Minn., mill. The project will increase Special Bar Quality (SBQ) capacity by 100,000 short tons and increase the mill’s total capacity to 550,000 short tons. To officially mark the beginning of our investment, we are holding a special groundbreaking ceremony. We will celebrate with speeches from Gerdau leadership and government and economic development officials who have helped make this project possible. A photo opportunity and lunch will follow.
