Gerdau’s welded wire mesh provide up to 6% savings in construction works

As a contribution to the sectors of civil construction and infrastructure, Gerdau, the leader in the segment of long steel in the Americas, supplies welded wire meshes that are delivered on site ready for use and which result in a 15% reduction of the costs with steel products, eliminating waste and increasing productivity by up to 70% during structure assembly.
Increasingly adopted in paving operations, construction solutions using welded wire meshes have been appointed as an economic advantage in the Brazilian civil construction and infrastructure market. Overall investment in paving, including maintenance and initial investment, may be reduced in up to 6% with the use of Gerdau’s product.

Welded wire meshes, which may be used both for hard pavements (concrete) and bus lanes and roads, have recently been used in the Francisco Morato/Rebouças bus lane, in São Paulo, and in the TransOeste Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) express bus lane, in the west side of Rio de Janeiro.
