Gerdau invests in environmental protection in plants in Colombia and the United States

Gerdau, a leading producer of long steel in the Americas, invested in the modernization and improvement of
its dust removal systems at its plants Tuta, Colombia, and Jackson (Michigan) in the United States. With
these investments, Gerdau keep their emission levels below those established by the environmental
regulations of each country. The dust removal system captures with high efficiency the solid particles
generated in the process of steel production.
