One of the leaders of the consolidation process of the global steel sector, Gerdau is the leading manufacturer of long steel in the Americas and the world leader in specialty long steels for the automotive industry, with operations located in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
It produces long, specialty and flat steels for the construction, industrial and agricultural sectors. The company has been on the stock market for 60 years and owns three public corporations – Gerdau S.A., Metalúrgica Gerdau S.A. and Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation, which is a subsidiary in North America. The shares of these public corporations are traded on the São Paulo, New York, Toronto and Madrid stock exchanges.
