Documentation Center

The Gerdau Memorial Documentation Center was created in 1999 with the objective of gathering documents and information about the history of Gerdau. It is located at the Company’s headquarters (in Porto Alegre, Brazil) and it currently features an archive of approximately 50 thousand items, including historical objects, as well as text, iconographic, audiovisual, and electronic documents. It is active in the areas of document management, historical research, and dissemination of information, providing tools for several Company activities. While it contributes for a better understanding of the steel market and the organization’s history, it constantly seeks to record history as it is being built.
