TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Gerdau invests in the training and development of its professionals. For each area of activity, whether technical, administrative or executive, there are specific methodologies, training and content. There are also structured industrial and commercial training programs.
At Gerdau, professional development has three individual dimensions: Challenges, Training and Coaching. Challenges are actions that lead to practices such as: expanding areas of activity, new interfunctional tasks, participation in work groups and research in new areas.
Training is the incorporation of appropriate techniques and concepts, aimed at improving performance. It ensures assessment of the knowledge, attitudes and abilities of professionals. Coaching is the process of development provided and encouraged by leadership on a daily basis. It is the employees, in conjunction with the managers, who identify the best way to develop their skills and talents.
